Torfaen and Caerphilly
Torfaen and Caerphilly local authorities are working together on our Fusion programme, using culture and heritage to support people in Communities First and other areas. We are seeking to changing the way people think and feel about arts, culture and heritage, making them relevant and accessible to everyone. We are working with a wide range of partners including culture, education, health and employment and skills bodies. We are focussing on tackling barriers to employment through volunteering and work placements, supporting educational attainment, the early years, and health and wellbeing.

Torfaen and Caerphilly News
We want to help more people, from more communities, get involved in culture and heritage.
We know that taking part can help children, young people and adults in many different ways. Culture can transform people’s confidence, and offer new opportunities. Culture can help develop skills and qualifications to help people into work. Culture can foster a love of learning within families, and help our young people achieve at school.
Culture can help people live happier and healthier lives. The Fusion programme is breaking down barriers so that everyone, from any background, can take part. Eight projects right across Wales are bringing these benefits to new audiences. This website shows some of their best work and how it is transforming lives and communities.
